It’s time to say goodbye to a legend, my Ferrari FF is now going to be moving on to a new home! After 2.5 years and 20,000 miles covering some amazing adventures and journeys, I’m going to be putting the car for sale as I simply haven’t found the time to drive it in recent times. For the final outing, we jump in to head to pick up the Aston Martin GT8 that has been having its annual service before returning to the garage. Are you going to miss the FF as much as I am?
As one of the founding members of the “Blue Crew” alongside my McLaren 675LT Coupe in Cerulean Blue, and my Porsche Cayman GT4 in Sapphire Blue, the Le Mans Blue Ferrari was both the most surprising purchase but has outlasted them all – and in fact is the 2nd longest I’ve owned a car in my life.
Now at 6 years old, amazingly it is still covered by Ferrari’s New Power Warranty and Servicing package which has made it such an easy car to keep running and in good shape, just my own position hasn’t really given the opportunities to drive it. With the recently delivery of the AMG GT R taking on most of the cross-continent missions, the Porsche 911 GT3 arriving soon, and the new Focus RS Red Edition also arriving in a few months; opportunities to use the FF again have become few and far between. Hence, it has found itself residing in the garage and feeling rather unloved in recent months.
Therefore, it’s time to move it on now. Maybe down the line a Ferrari GTC4Lusso will come in as a replacement but for the time being, 5 cars is enough!
Thanks for watching, Tim
