This is the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio SUV, and everything you want to know about it! From a full in-depth walkaround to pushing on in the countryside to get a full feel for what it’s like to drive. As the range topping version of Alfa’s Stelvio SUV, the Quadrifoglio has 510hp from the 2.9l twin turbocharged V6 and offers incredible performance for the price.
Alfa Romeo came back to the spotlight with the launch of the Giulia and Giulia Quadrifoglio, their saloon car that was heavily developed by ex-Ferrari engineers. The Stelvio builds on that base, using the same chassis setup and engine but of course now with a 4 wheel drive installation and increased practicality. It is by far the lightest car in its class meaning it offers hugely dynamic capabilities albeit at the expense of practicality and in some cases a premium refinement you might expect. Alfa Romeo are part of the FCA group, as were Ferrari until recently however the companies have largely the same shareholders which begs the questions whether this is the SUV Ferrari would like to build or what one will be like if they do eventually do so?
In any case, join me at the Nurburgring to take a look around the car in detail and run over some of the facts and figures before we hop in to go for a drive and discover all the different driving modes. Upon return it’s time for a much more detailed interior overview and run through some of the systems and displays.
Thanks for watching, Tim
