The Pink Ribbon Walk is an annual event for the good folks down at Breast Cancer Care (http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/) and it helps to raise awareness and a little bit of money for the cause. It is also an opportunity for anyone who has been in any way affected by breast cancer to walk the 20 miles and remember their experiences with people who have had similar ones. There are groups of all sorts of ages, both men and women – girls walking it with their mum, full grown men in tutus walking it with their families (you’ll have to watch the video now – your curiosity has been piqued…) Every year Memory Lane Films intends to do a charity shoot entirely for free – a good cause that we feel that we can help out with a promotional film. This was our first, but it proved to be an inspired choice. The day was roasting hot – really not a cloud in the sky. The BCC team were amazing, making sure everyone was fed and watered (definitely watered) and then rallying them to the starting line. And as you can see, everyone was friendly and happy to be filmed – despite sweating it out over 20 miles. If you have been affected by breast cancer, think about getting in touch with Breast Cancer Care.
